Lamotrigine is an antiepileptic phenyltriazine drug that is used to treat epilepsy and as a mood stabilizer in bipolar disorder. Although, this drug’s action is not fully well understood it is similar to carbamazepine which involves inhibiting voltage-sensitive sodium channels.
